NATIONAL CANOE MARATHON 2008 just ended.
stayed over at darling's place because my place very inaccessible.
so slept early the day before around 8. so that i have enough slp.
woke up at 5 in the morning. got prepared then went to mac for breakfast
waited for the first train. meet the rest at city hall.
headed to bus stop.
while walking in RAFFLES SHOPPING CENTRE.
we all were damm slpy and then adeline and fishy was walking in front.
then suddenly we heard "woa F**K you" by adeline.
then we all started laughing. ahah
she almost fell because there was a pool of water and she didnt see it.
haha. continued laughing till outside.
then at the traffic light we were looking out for bus then we saw a bus that looks like 16 and we ran to the bus stop like mad women.
and the bus turned out to be 36. LOLS.
then wait for bus to reach and head to kallang.
reached, set up our boats and all and went to the beach for briefing.
Race started we were arrange in like shimin's boat, my boat, lala's boat and joanne's boat.
before race started me and fishy found out that our boat's rudder has some problem
at the time i knew it would screw up our race. very well enough it surely screwed up our race.
when we started brusting out, the rudder could work. and we headed back to the beach to get our rudder fixed.
it was super DEMORALIZING lahs.
fixed up the rudder and was determined to chase up with the rest.
was almost able to catch up with joanne's boat but. haiz.
the RUDDER just screwed up everything again when we did our first portage.
and the last time it screwed up was at cosy bay.
was damm sad lahs. and hopeless. cause we couldnt do anything. =(
finished the race trying to chase up with one boat but still didnt. haha.
well. did all our best though i got distracted easily and almost wanted to give up.
but we still finished the race.
after the race was PHOTOTAKING. LOLS.
took loads of pics. hees.
brought back the boats and all.
headed for mac and HOME SWEET HOME.
slept immediately when i reached home. hees.
at least we finished the race though the RUDDER kept giving us problems.
=))
we still got other races to go though we didnt get any cookies today.
CONGRATULATIONS to lala and qifang. they won first for the marathon and won themselves a paddle, medal and discount voucher for royal sporting house i think. LOLS.
